ProjeX says it is Registered to Someone else
When I tried to generate a Gantt chart I got the message:
I have bought the full version and installed it why am I getting this message?
There are several potential answers to this why ProjeX thinks you are not the registered user but only one solution. Once this message has appeared ProjeX will switch to the Freeware version.
You have just bought the full version, installed it and get this message - there is a problem with the username you supplied. ProjeX uses the Excel username or machine name to see if it is licensed, this username is case sensitive and users also frequently put spaces at the start or the end of the username, these are critical as well. If you use Outlook as your email program then click the username button which will generate an email message to us with your correct details (it might be helpful to include a message as to what happened).
If you do not use Outlook we suggest you download RegeX_1.0.xls, open it on your machine, enable macros, save the result and then email it back to us. Again this will give us your username and machine name which we can compare with our records.
You have been using ProjeX for ages and suddenly get his message - either your machine name or username have changed. This often occurs when you upgrade to a later release of Excel or have a hard disk failure. Follow the steps above, if you purchased ProjeX a while ago you might want to consider upgrading to the latest version.
