How does ProjeX calculate the amount of resource allocated?

From version 97.1 and on ProjeX has the ability to allocate daily hours to both tasks and resources, eg. a certain resource might be able to work eight hours a day Monday to Thursday but only four hours on Fridays and Saturdays and none on Sunday. Likewise tasks can have hours allocated to specific days, eg. Monday to Friday tens hours a day but Saturday and Sundays zero. The 'available hours' that the resource can work on the task are defined as which ever is the smaller between the task hours and the resource hours.

If we have allocated a certain number of hours of the resource to a task then those hours are averaged over the available work days for the task (if an days have fewer available work hours than this average the remaining hours are distributed over the other days.

If a number of days are allocated then the number of hours this represents is calculated by finding the average number of hours available to the resource over the time period the task covers and then multiplying this by the number of allocated days to give the total hours which is then spread over the period of the task as described above.

If a percentage of the resource is allocated, then the number of allocated hours is calculated as a percentage of the total number of hours available to the resource on the specific days covered by the task. This number of hours is then distributed over the number of task work days as described above.
