PlaneX appears in three forms, MontheX and YeareX are freeware add-ins, but the full PlaneX add-in can only be used after registering and paying $10.

After downloading
- Put the zip file in a temporary sub-directory and uncompress it using a tool such as Winzip. You will find one file :
- PlaneX 97.0.xla - The Excel add-in macro (the name will vary depending which program and version you have downloaded).
- Copy the PlaneX add-in file (PlaneX 97.0.xla) to a subdirectory on your hard disk, for example c:\msoffice\excel\library.
- Start up Excel and go to the ‘Add-ins’ option under the ‘Tools’ menu.
- Select the Browse option and move to the subdirectory in the window that appears.
- Select "PlaneX 97.0.xla" from the available add-ins.
- The Add-ins option can now be closed with PlaneX installed on the Toolbar (will only be visible when a workbook is open).
Successful installation of PlaneX will result in the PlaneX (or MontheX or YeareX) menu appearing between Window and Help on the Excel menubar.
If ProjeX has already been installed then PlaneX appears under that menubar entry.
