The free version of StripeX is available for download over the Web. The freeware version has limited functionality but does not run out.
To download and install StripeX :
- Put the zip file in a temporary sub-directory and uncompress it using a tool such as Winzip. You will find one file :
- StripeX 97.0.xla - The Excell add-in macro.
- Copy the StripeX add-in file (StripeX 97.0.xla) to your Excel library sub-directory, for example c:\msoffice\excel\library.
- Start up Excel and go to the ‘Add-ins’ option under the ‘Tools’ menu.
- Select the Browse option and move to the Excel library in the window that appears.
- Select "StripeX 97.0.xla" from the available add-ins.
- The Add-ins option can now be closed with StripeX installed on the Toolbar (will only be visible when a workbook is open).
Successful installation of StripeX will result in the StripeX menu appearing between Window and Help on the Excel menubar.
