Welcome to the home page for StripeX. Take a look at What's New in our web.
StripeX is an Excel add-in that was written to aid the processing of large log files produced on mainframe computers.
Many log files are still set up to print to the old linefeed machines and contain characters to tell the printer to start a new page. This can add many lines to a file and make processing the data in Excel difficult, StripeX removes these lines before they get to Excel.
Another option of StripeX allows the user to select specific lines to extract from the log file (a key word is supplied). This saves the user wading through maybe thousands of rows in Excel to get just a few lines that are required for analysis.
StripeX also has some utilities to convert the end of line characters required by DOS systems to those required by UNIX systems (and vice versa).
