Producing a yearly vacation plan using PlaneX

Once we have entered our employees' (as resources) and set up some vacations (tasks) we can use PlaneX to generate yearly or monthly plots to show who is off when.

To generate a fresh plan from the menu bar select 'Produce resource planner'

Which first of all warns us that all cells on the current worksheet will be overwritten and then brings up the parameters dialog

For this example lets generate a yearly plot of 2003 and change the type of data to plot on the plan to manual (i.e the vacation dates we have just been entering). When we press 'OK' a dialog appears asking if we want to plot all of our resources or select a specific one, we can also change the colors used to plot the resources at this point as well.

Click 'OK' again and the yearly template is generated and the vacations plotted using the colors we selected.

Everything seems fine but lets have a closer look at December where we have three people off on one day by plotting a monthly view.
